Today’s podcast delves back into Sensitivity Reading and why it intrigues the French. I’ll also explain why Blackface is offensive.

Mid 2019 I was contacted by a really cool husband and wife team working in Los Angeles for France 24; an international television channel based in France. They were the LA Correspondence for the network and found me after reading a few of my articles online.

They asked to interview me in person; which I did. It was an interesting experience as I had never been the focus of a news story before, despite working within the news business.

They informed me that there is no such thing as Sensitivity Readers in France, and wanted to get to know more about me, the profession and how why/how I chose to become one …
